Hestia Design and Order Process


It all starts with an idea and a photograph: Send us a color photograph, postcard or brochure of the building or scene you would like to commemorate. Our artists take the details from your images to create a vibrant miniature likeness for your personalized watercolors, ceramics, ornaments and miniatures.


Our Artists Make a Sketch:  Taking inspiration from the details of your photo, postcard or brochure, our artist creates a pen and ink sketch that becomes the first draft of your ornament or miniature.  We send a copy of this sketch for your approval.  This is the time to make any detailed changes to your custom piece. 

We Create Your Prototype:  Using your approved version of the sketch, we create a prototype of your finished piece and send it to you for  final approval. At this stage only minor changes, such as color modification, should be made. 

You Approve the Prototype:  After you approve the prototype we use it to fulfill your order.  The prototype is yours to keep.  Your production order is shipped approximately six to eight weeks after all the order details are finalized. The minimum for a first order is 60 pieces. Since each miniature in your order is hand-painted, there may be slight variations between pieces. 

Re-order:  The minimum re-order is 25 pieces, and the lead time is approximately six weeks. You can re-order as often as you like.
